The 2010 Merlot was produced from old vines here in the higher reaches of the Yarra Valley.
Dark crimson red with a purple/red hue. Dark fruits of plum and spice with subtle oak and earthiness characters fill the aroma. The palate if full with dense fruits, spice, toasty aok and lees complexity. Ripe dusty tannin with balanced acidity adds flavour and structure. A complex, cool climate style that will award ageing over the medium to long term.
