Hosting your wedding or event at Elmswood is a pleasure, and we hope to have almost everything you need already set-out. Please read through our frequently asked questions below to find out  the answers to the most common questions we are asked about our events. Q. What is the capacity of the room?
A. Seated in pavilion x110, Cocktail x 140+.


Q. What is the minimum allowance for The Pavilion?
A. 50 guests


Q. How long have you been in business and how many events have you hosted? 
A. We have been in business since 1999 and conducting weddings since 2003. We currently host over 80 weddings a season.


Q. Do you provide tasting consultations or food tasting of your menu’s?
A. No, however you are more than welcome to speak directly with our Chef to discuss our menu’s in further detail.


Q. What is the staff to guest ratio?
A. Our staff to guest ration is 1:15


Q. What is the staff dress code? Formal or Casual?
A. Formal dress- Elmswood Estate uniform, black shirts,pants and apron.


Q. If buffet style is offered, are servers provided or will it be self serve?
A. Our staff will serve the hot foods, guests help themselves to salads & condiments. 


Q. Who is supplying the Alcohol?
A. Elmswood Estate supplies all Alcohol. No spirits are sold or permitted on the premises. We DO NOT hold a BYO licence.


Q. Do you provide MC or is it part of the service?
A. No, however our recommended DJ can provide this service.


Q. Are there special prices for feeding our D.J band, Photographer and other wedding professionals?
A. Yes, we offer the meals to you at 50% off your selected menu price per person.


Q. Are there special prices for children? 
A. Yes, $25 per child for 2 courses with soft drink or juice included. This is for children between the age of 2-12 years.


Q. Is a deposit required? 
A. Yes, the site fee amount is required upon booking your wedding date.


Q. When is the deposit due to reserve the room? 
A. Within 14 days of tentatively booking your wedding date with Elmswood Estate.


Q. When are my final guest numbers required? 
A. 3 weeks before wedding, however under special circumstances 2 days before ie. Illness etc. 


Q. May I make partial payments? 
A. Yes you can.


Q. What is the overtime charge?
A. We are only licensed to 11pm.


Q. Do you have visual / audio equipment?
A. No.


Q. What equipment do you provide? 
A. Signing table with 2 chairs, candelabra’s, portable PA system, red carpet and use of our in house sound system. 


Q. Is there adequate parking? 
A. Yes, for up to 150 cars.


Q. Do you provide a written contract and guarantee?
A. Yes Elmswood Estate will require both the bride and groom to sign our wedding agreement form upon confirming your booking. A copy of of this is provided under the title of terms and conditions in all of our wedding packages.


Q. What are the refunds / cancellation terms? 
A.The deposit is non-refundable, however if notice of your cancellation is given in writting 6 months or more prior to your wedding date, half of the deposit will be refunded in the value of wine.


Q. How long before the wedding can we have access to The Pavilion, so we may prepare it? 
A. Generally from 2pm the day before your wedding, providing there is no wedding on that day.  Otherwise from 11am on day of your wedding. Arrangements can also be made with your events co-ordinator to have the Pavilion set, if it is not available the day before your wedding date.
